AP Reported Its First Ever COVID-19 Related Death

The state of Andhra Pradesh has recorded its first-ever death from COVID-19 on Friday after a 55-year-old man succumbed to COVID-19 in Vijayawada.
In the last 12 hours, Coronavirus positive cases in Andhra Pradesh have increased by one, touching an overall 162. However, two patients have recovered from it.
Sheik Subhani(55) suffered from hypertension diabetes and was admitted to the hospital on 30 March. He came in contact with his son who has a travel history to the national capital Delhi and returned to Andhra Pradesh on March 17.
The man died at around 12.30 am, an hour after he was put on medication. The deceased was also suffering from diabetic and cardiac-related problems, said the statement issued by the Andhra Pradesh government.
The officials have identified all the 29 people who cam in contact with the deceased and they have all been quarantined, Health and Family Welfare ministry said.
The AP government has also identified the flight number and seat number of the man’s sons and have sent the report to the union government so that the individuals who came in contact with him could be identified and the precautionary measures would be taken.
