Actor Rajashekar and actress Jeevitha were both given one year in jail.
In a slander case, the Nampally Court ordered Jeevitha and Rajashekar to one year in jail and a fine of Rs 5,000. In 2011, Jeevitha and Rajashekar allegedly said that blood from the Chiranjeevi blood bank was being sold illegally on the market.
In response to these serious claims, movie director Allu Aravind went to court. After that, a defamation case was made against the trust and service programs that used Chiranjeevi's name. As proof, Jeevitha and Rajashekar's claims were printed in news stories, which were shown to the court.
After a long hearing, the Court made its decision on Tuesday. Both players were given a one-year jail sentence and a Rs 5,000 fine. But after they paid the fine, the Court let them out on bail so they could take their case to the High Court.
