After a wink and an embrace, Rahul's flying kiss in the Lok Sabha sparked uproar.
Rahul Gandhi, the head of the Congress, is now embroiled in yet another controversy after receiving criticism for his wink and embrace gestures in 2018. On Wednesday, he is accused of making a flying kiss gesture as he left the Lok Sabha.
Without identifying Rahul Gandhi, Union Minister for Women and Child Development Smriti Irani said that he misbehaved and that "only a misogynistic man can gesture a flying kiss to female parliamentarians."
Irani stated in the House, "I disagree to something. The person who had the opportunity to speak before me was impolite before departing. Only a sexist guy would be able to deliver a flying kiss to a parliament that had female members. It reveals his khandan (family) and the attitudes his family and party have about women.
Such disrespectful behavior has never previously been seen in the nation's Parliament, Irani said. She responded after Rahul Gandhi supported the Lok Sabha's resolution of no confidence. The Congress leader departed the House after speaking on the no-trust motion, and it is at this point that he is believed to have exchanged a flying kiss.
