Amaravati Healthcare Crisis: TEDP's Nara Lokesh Criticizes CM Jagan's Inaction
Arogyashri healthcare services have ground to a halt statewide in Andhra Pradesh, and the blame falls squarely on Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy's shoulders for accumulating arrears of Rs. Nara Lokesh, the National General Secretary of the Telugu Desam Party (TEDP), did not mince words, accusing the CM of recklessly depleting the state's finances through chaotic governance, leading to this dire healthcare crisis.
Even in the Chief Minister's home district of Kadapa, hospital management has taken the drastic step of suspending services, painting a bleak picture of what was once a lifeline for the impoverished.
However, instead of addressing the issue with urgency and releasing the overdue payments, the government's response has been marked by indifference, threats, and the delisting of hospitals—a move that has only added to the mounting crisis.
Lokesh expressed his outrage at the government's callousness, emphasizing that the innocent citizens should not be made to bear the brunt of its negligence when it comes to delivering essential emergency medical services.
He called upon the authorities to shed their stubbornness and work collaboratively to find an equitable resolution that serves the interests of the countless underprivileged individuals who depend on these vital healthcare services.
