Amit Malviya Tweets Proof of Congress Leader Demeaning Muslims
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday launched a scathing attack on Congress. He quoted that a Congress leader during Rajiv Gandhi’s reign said it was not the responsibility of Congress to uplift Muslims. The statement was made by the Prime Minister during the Lok Sabha session and the opposition made sharp reactions to this. The opposition asked PM to share a YouTube video link for the same.
Hours after the incident took place, BJP IT Cell head Amit Malviya tweeted an interview of former parliamentarian Arif Mohammad Khan. In the video, Khan could be heard saying that it was not the responsibility of Congress party leaders to improve the social conditions of Muslims.
The uproar is the result of the opposition not supporting Triple Talaq Bill yet again. Modi cornered Congress and said that they have missed the chance to empower Muslim women earlier. He further added that now Congress has got this opportunity to mend their mistakes.
Modi brought the facts to the table and quoted that Congress has missed this chance twice – one in the 1950s when Uniform Civil Code was being discussed, second Congress overruled the Supreme Court Judgment on Shah Bano case by inventing a new law.
