Andhra Pradesh 5 Booths For Re-Polling
The Lok Sabha elections will be entering the final phase on 19th May, however, the 5 polling booths of Andhra Pradesh will go for re-polling on the same day.
This decision was taken by the Election Commission of India on the re-polling in Chandragiri assembly constituency, on the basis of the reports that were submitted to them. The reports were submitted by Chief Electoral Officer Gopala Krishna Dwivedi on the complaints stated by YRS Congress party candidate Bhaskar Reddy and Telugu Desam party state president Kala Venkat Rao.
The complaint according to Reddy was, that a section of villages was not allowed to cast their votes in some villages and Rao alleged that there were large scale electoral malpractices during the polling on11th April.
The re-polling will be held on 19th April from 7 am to 6 pm, in Kammapalli, N R Kammapalli, Pulivarthipalli, Kothakandriga, and Venkatrama Puram villages. The re-polling was also held once in five other polling stations in three districts of Guntur, Nellore, and Prakasam of Andhra Pradesh on May 6.
