Asha Workers Gifted Salary Hikes by Andhra CM

As per his promises made to the Asha Workers, State CM Jagan Mohan Reddy (Andhra Pradesh) announced salary hike for them. The announcement was made officially by CM on 3rd June 2019 in the Cabinet meeting.
As per current updates, the Asha Workers shall be offered with a hike in salary from Previous salary Rs 3000 to new salary status of Rs 10,000. The announcement was made by the CM while addressing the Asha Workers at the Health Department meeting held on 30th May 2019.
While running his election campaign, Jagan Mohan Reddy had already promised to hike the salary structure for state’s Asha Workers. This was done by the CM with an aim to revamp the health and medical department statewide. With this new implementation, CM hopes that the health services offered at various government-run Health centers and hospitals will also improve.
Apart from this, he also added that the newly elected government is looking forward to improvising and upgrade state Ambulance services by adding more facilities to it. The implementations were actually promised by the former CM of the state Mr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy and his cabinet.
As a part of his visit, Jagan Mohan Reddy also showed his concerns over the pathetic conditions faced by most government-owned hospitals that have been declining for the past five years.
Starting with the new drive, Mr. Reddy also urged all health and medical departments to revamp their services statewide. With an aim to make immediate implementations, Mr. Reddy has also announced each department statewide to submit reports within a period of 45 days.
