BRS MLAs Protest Alleged Alliance Between Telangana CM and Gautam Adani
On Monday, BRS legislators staged an unconventional protest at the Telangana Assembly, alleging a secret "friendship" between Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and industrialist Gautam Adani. The protest garnered attention as the MLAs arrived wearing T-shirts emblazoned with slogans targeting the alleged connection. Messages like “Delhi lo kusti, gully lo dosti” (Wrestling in Delhi, Friendship in the Gully) were prominently displayed, criticizing Reddy's political moves.
The MLAs also chanted slogans such as “Telangana thalli maadi” (Telangana belongs to us), emphasizing their commitment to the state’s autonomy and interests. Speaking to the media, BRS leaders accused Revanth Reddy of prioritizing personal and business ties over Telangana's welfare. They argued that while the opposition showcases an aggressive stance in Delhi, their actions at the state level reveal questionable alliances.
The protest sparked heated debates during the Assembly session, with BRS leaders reiterating their dedication to safeguarding Telangana’s pride. The unusual demonstration drew mixed reactions, with critics questioning its political significance and potential impact.
Revanth Reddy has yet to respond to the allegations. Meanwhile, analysts suggest that the protest could deepen the rivalry between the BRS and Congress, adding fuel to the political battle ahead of the elections.
