Baloch Militant Groups Claim Coordinated Attacks on Pakistani Forces
Several Baloch militant groups have claimed responsibility for a series of coordinated attacks targeting Pakistani security forces across different districts of Balochistan, escalating tensions in the conflict-hit province.
The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) stated that it attacked a Pakistani military camp near Shadi Kaur Dam in Pasni, Gwadar district, using rockets and automatic weapons. According to the group’s spokesperson, the assault resulted in casualties among military personnel and caused infrastructure damage.
In a separate operation, the BLF reportedly launched an assault on a Frontier Corps camp in the Lond Nausham area of Kohlu district, claiming heavy casualties and material losses.
The Baloch Republican Guards (BRG) also claimed responsibility for an explosive attack targeting a police patrol vehicle near Mir Hassan police station in Naseerabad district. The group alleged that a remote-controlled device was used in the blast.
Meanwhile, the United Baloch Army (UBA) claimed it destroyed a Pakistani military surveillance tower in the Mach area of Kachhi district. The group stated that the tower’s monitoring cameras were rendered completely inoperable.
The recent attacks follow the January 31 launch of the second phase of “Operation Herof” by the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), signaling an escalation in armed resistance. The militant groups have vowed to continue their campaign until what they describe as the “liberation of Balochistan,” further intensifying instability in the region.
