Booth Wise Poll Percentage For Congress
The seven-phase marathon of Lok Sabha elections started in 11th April, since then all the parties have been paying blame games and throwing accusations on each other. As that was not enough, Congress has alleged Telangana chief electoral officer over the polling percentages.
Rajat Kumar, Telangana Chief Electoral Officer was again taken on by Congress over the differences on polling percentage, especially in Nizamabad and Secunderabad. The Congress Senior leader, Marri Shashidhar Reddy wrote to CEO on Monday that the commission was misleading the public.
This mislead was for when the returning officers submitted provisional figures on the day of the polling. On 11th April when the polling was going on, there was a sudden spike after 5 pm. An unusual increase in the polling percentage in Telangana was given regarding the 4 Lok Sabha constituencies out of the 17.
In the reply, under the right to information, the CEO stated that the reports of polling were given by the presiding officers over the phone to sector officers, who then submit to returning officers. The figures had to be given before 5 pm, and the actual scrutiny takes up the next day.
