CM Chandrababu Naidu Meets Adani Group to Forge New Investment
On Monday, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu met with a high-level delegation from the Adani Group, engaging in discussions aimed at unlocking new investment opportunities within the state. Sharing the update on social media platform X, Naidu stated, "I had a productive meeting with Adani Group leaders, Rajesh Adani, MD of Adani Exports Ltd., and Karan Adani, MD of Adani Ports and SEZ Ltd., focusing on potential projects across crucial sectors in Andhra Pradesh."
The Adani team presented a broad array of projects designed to accelerate state-wide growth in key areas such as ports, mining, IT, tourism, and artificial intelligence. Additionally, they expressed a commitment to revitalizing Amaravati in line with Andhra Pradesh’s vision of Swarna Andhra Pradesh, Naidu shared.
This meeting followed an earlier acknowledgment of the Union Cabinet’s recent green light for the 57-kilometer Amravati Railway Connectivity project, set to improve transport links to Hyderabad, Chennai, and Kolkata. Thanking the NDA government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for their support, Naidu emphasized the importance of this project for Andhra Pradesh’s development, especially for Amaravati, the state’s capital-in-the-making.
"We’re inviting PM Modi to lay the foundation for the Visakhapatnam Railway Zone, a pivotal addition to our infrastructure that will advance Amaravati’s transformation into one of India’s top cities," Naidu expressed.
With the newly sanctioned railway line and a planned 3.2-kilometer bridge across the Krishna River, Amaravati is poised to become more accessible to several major cities and prominent religious sites, bolstering its status as a cultural and economic hub. This comprehensive connectivity will also link Amaravati to critical seaports, including Machilipatnam, Krishnapatnam, and Kakinada, positioning Andhra Pradesh for continued growth and investment.
