CM Chandrababu Naidu Urges Public to End Practice of Touching Leaders' Feet
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu made a heartfelt appeal to the state's people, urging them to abandon the traditional practice of touching the feet of leaders. He emphasized that such reverence should be reserved only for parents, teachers, and God. Expressing his discomfort with this cultural tradition, the CM stated that he did not wish for people to touch his feet and called for an end to the practice.
Chandrababu Naidu declared that he would reciprocate by touching the feet of those who continued this custom. He instructed party leaders and security personnel to enforce this new directive. As he concluded his speech, Naidu once again pleaded with the public to respect his wishes.
Supporters of the Telugu Desam Party praised their leader for taking a stand on this issue, affirming that Chandrababu Naidu continues to be a trendsetter in the region.
