CM Chandrababu Naidu Vows to Elevate AIIMS Mangalagiri to Top-3 Position
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu assured Dr. Madhabananda Kar, Director of AIIMS Mangalagiri, that he would address the institution's challenges and elevate it to a top-3 position nationally. During a meeting at the Secretariat on Friday, Dr. Kar outlined several critical issues faced by the premier institution.
Key Issues Highlighted by AIIMS Director:
Water Shortage: AIIMS Mangalagiri requires 7 million liters of water per day but currently receives only 2 million liters via tankers. The pipeline project intended to supply water has been stalled.
Electricity Supply Problems: Dr. Kar emphasized the need for a reliable electricity supply to support the institution's operations.
Land Allocation: AIIMS was initially granted 182 acres but needs an additional 10 acres to meet its full requirement of 192 acres for expansion.
Background and Commitment:
Established during the TDP administration at a cost of Rs. 1,618 crore, AIIMS Mangalagiri has encountered numerous issues since the YSRCP government took power in 2019. Dr. Kar invited CM Naidu to visit the institution and review its facilities and services.
CM Naidu pledged to resolve the issues and reaffirmed his commitment to enhancing the institution's standing. "We will ensure AIIMS Mangalagiri reaches the top-3 position in the country," he stated, promising to review and address all the challenges presented.
The Chief Minister assured that he would personally review the situation and work towards providing the necessary solutions, ensuring that AIIMS Mangalagiri can continue to deliver exceptional medical services to the public.
