CM KCR announces an Rs.600 crore development project for the Kondagattu temple.

On Wednesday, Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao gave Rs.500 crore to help build the Sri Anjaneya Swamy temple at Kondagattu in the Jagtial district. The new money comes on top of the Rs.100 crore announced in the State budget for 2023-24, bringing the total to Rs.600 crore.
On Wednesday, the Chief Minister went to the temple to look around and see what could be done to improve the temple town. Chandrashekhar Rao looked at the current situation in a review meeting with officials, temple architects, and priests. He talked about what needs to be done to redevelop the Anjaneya Swamy temple following Agama Shastra to meet the needs of the growing number of devotees with all grandeur and facilities. He told the officials to make a master plan for changing and improving the temple and the surrounding area.
During the meeting, the officials talked about how they needed to buy land, build facilities, and improve infrastructure so that people could easily get to the temple town. The Chief Minister insisted that the temple be redesigned and rebuilt according to Vaishnava guidelines. He wanted the government and architects to plan the Kondagattu temple's redevelopment in a similar way to the Yadadri redevelopment project.
As per Vaasthu, Chandrashekhar Rao told the officials to keep the sanctum sanctorum and the main deity during the temple's expansion and renovation. He reminded them that many people come to the temple for the "Anjaneya/Hanuman" Deeksha and that the facilities should be expanded to handle the crowds. He wanted the whole building fixed so the devotees wouldn't have to deal with any problems.
He asked about things that devotees could use, such as waiting lines, ways to get to and from the temple, places to stay and eat, and places to enter and leave the temple. He asked the government to make a master plan with the needs of the future in mind. They were told to plan to get water from the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme and bring it to the temple.
Also, there are plans to improve the temple by adding a Pushkarini, a Hanuman Deeksha devotees mandapam, a kalyana katta, and other facilities. It was also suggested to build a police station, a hospital, a bus stop, parking spaces, roads, water tanks, drinking water facilities, cottages, and a complete power substation.
Rajyasabha MP Divakonda Damodar Rao, Ministers A Indrakaran Reddy, Koppula Eashwar and Gangula Kamalakar, TS Planning Board Vice-chairman B Vinod Kumar, MLCs L Ramana, and Bhanu Prasad Rao, MLAs Sunke Ravishankar, Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Balka Suman, ZP Chairperson Dava Vasantha, and others were present.
