CM KCR meets Asaduddin Owaisi, says Uniform Civil Code against India's plurality.
When he met with head Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, Hyderabad MP and AIMIM head Asaduddin Owaisi said they had warned Rao that the Uniform Civil Code was a matter for both Muslims and Christians.
He warned that the introduction of the UCC would end the nation's pluralism, which would have a negative impact on the country's aesthetic and culture.
Our nation's beauty is its diversity, but Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP, and the RSS don't like it. We have the assurance of CM KCR's opposition to the UCC. We will also lobby AP's Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy to vote against the bill. "We discussed a number of other issues with CM KCR," Owaisi stated after the meeting.
In a memorandum to the Chief Minister, the AIMPLB praised his service to Telangana and praised the State Government's performance over the past decade.
"It has also become a model for inclusive governance. Infrastructure, agriculture, and social services are all areas where the state has made significant strides in recent years. They said things like, "We must also congratulate you for taking a courageous stand against the unconstitutional CAA, NPR, and NRC, including adopting a critical resolution in the State legislature."
The Board argued that imposing "uniformity" in the guise of "equality" would demolish the Constitution and replace it with a theocracy in all but name, and that cultural diversity could not be disrupted under such a guise.
