CM Naidu: June 4 Was a Turning Point in Andhra Politics

Marking the first anniversary of the TDP-led NDA alliance’s victory in Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu declared June 4, 2024, a historic day in state politics. He described it as the day when “dictatorship ended” and democracy was restored through a people-powered revolution.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Naidu celebrated the ousting of the previous YSRCP regime, describing it as “psycho rule” that had crushed freedom. He said the people had risen like a movement to reclaim governance, ushering in a new era of peace, welfare, and development.
The Chief Minister credited the victory to the combined efforts of TDP workers, Jana Sena “sainiks,” and BJP supporters. He acknowledged their relentless struggle against what he called a “destructive regime” and promised to honor the trust of the people by delivering good governance.
Naidu stated that his government has worked diligently over the past year to rebuild the state by strengthening administration, reintroducing welfare schemes, and setting development back on track. He expressed gratitude to the citizens for placing their faith in the coalition and vowed to continue fulfilling their hopes and aspirations.
Reflecting on the year since the alliance came to power, he noted that the mandate was a clear rejection of authoritarianism and a resounding call for progress. “We treat the power given to us as a responsibility, not privilege,” Naidu said.
He concluded by promising more development and welfare programs in the coming years, and thanked party workers and leaders for their “uncompromising fight.” The anniversary serves as a reminder of the transformative shift in Andhra’s political landscape under Naidu’s leadership.
