CM Naidu Pushes for Streamlined Online Revenue Services
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has emphasized the need to simplify and digitize all Revenue Department services, ensuring citizens can access certificates like birth, death, caste, and income documents online without visiting government offices.
During a review meeting at the State Secretariat on Friday, Naidu highlighted that of the 1,74,720 public petitions received, 67,928 pertain to revenue issues such as land encroachments and record disputes. He instructed officials to address these complaints thoroughly and find permanent solutions, warning against superficial resolutions.
Naidu called for a complete overhaul of the Revenue Department to enhance service delivery and directed a third-party audit to evaluate resolution timelines and complainant satisfaction levels. He also urged officials to address land encroachments, fake transactions, and disputes from the past five years. After being briefed on widespread irregularities, Naidu demanded a detailed report on the involvement of officials in such cases.
The Chief Minister was informed that a land resurvey has been completed in 6,698 villages, covering 85 lakh acres, out of 16,816 villages. The resurvey process received 2,79,148 complaints, and Naidu stressed the importance of resolving them transparently while extending the resurvey to remaining villages.
He also ordered strict measures to curb the land mafia by enforcing the Preventive Detention Act and Anti-Land Grabbing Act, reaffirming his commitment to maintaining fairness and transparency in the Revenue Department.
