CM Naidu Vows to Bring Back Body of Murdered Man from USA
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday pledged to assist in repatriating the body of a man from Andhra Pradesh who was allegedly murdered in the United States recently. Offering condolences to the bereaved family in Bapatla district, Naidu assured them of every possible support from the State government.
Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has filed a petition in the Supreme Court challenging the Delhi High Court's stay on his bail proceedings. The Supreme Court's vacation bench is expected to hear the matter today. The Delhi High Court temporarily stayed the bail order issued by the trial court related to the liquor policy scam on Friday.
Kejriwal was granted bail by the Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi on Thursday, with a bail bond of one lakh rupees to be presented the next day. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) sought a stay of the bail order and requested 48 hours to sign the bail bond, resulting in the High Court's stay. Kejriwal was also notified by the Delhi High Court to respond to the ED's appeal against the trial court's June 20 bail decision, with the court indicating a delay of two to three days to review the complete file.
A video of the incident, which has gone viral, shows a masked man in shorts and a cap shooting multiple times at Gopikrishna before stealing items and cash from the retail outlet where the victim worked. Gopikrishna’s parents, D Srinivasa Rao and Dhanalakshmi, are devastated by the news of their son's death in the distant country and are awaiting the return of his body.
