Chandrababu Campaigns For Nikhil Kumaraswamy, As A Return Gift
Andhra Pradesh chief minister and Telugu Desam party supremo Chandrababu Naidu on Monday campaigned for his Karnataka counterpart’s son Nikhil Kumaraswamy who is facing actor Sumalatha Ambareesh from Mandya constituency as her opponent. Sumalatha Ambareesh is an independent candidate from Karnataka counterpart.
Last week, JD(S) supremo HD Deve Gowda had campaigned for TDP in the just concluded assembly elections and also participated in the road show in Vijayawada. Gowda had invited Naidu to campaign for his grandson.
Naidu switching effortlessly from Kannada to Telugu and English remarked that he went there for Jaguar Nikhil Kumaraswamy and that there was a deep bond between the two states and their leaders.
He recalled cheerily that late chief minister NT Rama Rao adored Kannada thespian Raj Kumar and that the people from Andhra love Bengaluru and Mysore.
Naidu even remarked that election commission was an autonomous body, however, it is been working under Modi’s instructions, further stating that democracy is under a threat in Modi’s rule and that he should not be elected again.
