Chandrababu Naidu Eyes Telangana Revival for TDP After Andhra Pradesh Victory
Following a significant comeback in Andhra Pradesh, TDP supremo N. Chandrababu Naidu is now focusing on reviving his party in Telangana. During a two-day visit, Naidu engaged in discussions with cadres and key leaders about rejuvenating the party in the state.
In the 2023 Assembly polls in Telangana, the TDP had opted not to contest, leading many political analysts to declare the party's end in the region. However, the historic win in Andhra Pradesh has reignited Naidu's ambition to strengthen the TDP's presence in Telangana.
Despite the challenges of overcoming the 'Andhra Party' label, the TDP aims to capitalize on the weakening of the former ruling party BRS in certain parts of Telangana and its support among Andhra settlers in Greater Hyderabad.
Last Sunday, Naidu received a warm welcome from party leaders and supporters at the NTR Trust Bhavan, TDP's headquarters in Hyderabad, following his return as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. Emphasizing the interconnected futures of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, Naidu's visit signals a strategic push to expand TDP's influence across both states.
