Chandrababu Naidu Lauds PM Modi's Historic Varanasi Nomination
Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP chief, N. Chandrababu Naidu, hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's nomination filing from Varanasi as a "historic occasion" and emphasized the country's need for PM Modi's leadership. Naidu expressed his contentment with being associated with the event, highlighting PM Modi's accomplishments over the past decade and his vision for "Viksit Bharat 2047."
Confident in the NDA's electoral prospects, Naidu predicted a landslide victory with over 400 seats in the Lok Sabha elections, asserting the alliance's sweeping success in Andhra Pradesh. He also extended condolences over the passing of former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister, Sushil Modi.
Leaders from the NDA, including Naidu, convened at a Varanasi hotel for an alliance meeting preceding PM Modi's nomination filing. Earlier in the day, PM Modi performed prayers at Dashashwamedh Ghat before submitting his nomination papers.
Prominent NDA figures, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President JP Nadda, and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, gathered at the Varanasi DM office in support of PM Modi's candidacy.
Meanwhile, a supporter from Bihar's Begusarai appealed for votes for PM Modi, praising his dedication to uplifting the poor.
On the auspicious occasion of Ganga Saptami, PM Modi participated in prayers and conducted the Ganga Aarti at the ghat. Seeking a third term from Varanasi, PM Modi aims for a record victory margin and will offer prayers at Kal Bhairav Temple before filing his nomination.
Varanasi, known as the BJP stronghold, heads to polls on June 1, marking the culmination of the general elections. PM Modi, who secured significant victories in 2014 and 2019, faces Uttar Pradesh Congress chief Ajay Rai in the electoral contest.
