Chandrababu Naidu Pledges Pension Increase and Job Creation in Election Campaign
Former Chief Minister and TDP leader N Chandrababu Naidu made bold promises during a public rally, vowing to enhance monthly pensions for the elderly and boost job opportunities if his party comes to power after the upcoming elections. Addressing the crowd at Pedakurapadu, Naidu pledged to increase the monthly pension to 4,000 rupees starting April 2024, contingent upon the NDA alliance's victory.
Highlighting his vision for development, Naidu emphasized plans to establish an IT park in Pedakurapadu, promising economic growth and employment prospects for the region. He urged voters to defeat the incumbent YSRCP government led by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, holding him responsible for alleged mismanagement and deteriorating conditions in the state.
Accusing the current administration of fostering criminal activities, Naidu criticized Jagan for promoting extortion and smuggling, labeling Andhra Pradesh as the "drug capital" of the country. He pledged to revitalize Amaravati as the state capital, envisioning it as a hub of opportunity and progress for residents of Pedakurapadu and neighboring districts.
Asserting his party's commitment to minority welfare, Naidu highlighted initiatives such as the Ramzan gift to Muslims and support for mosque construction. He challenged Jagan to present similar schemes benefiting the Muslim community and questioned the incumbent's record on infrastructure development.
Reflecting on past achievements, Naidu lamented the missed opportunity to develop Amaravati into a thriving metropolis during his previous tenure, blaming electoral defeat for stalled progress. Despite setbacks, he vowed to prioritize job creation and halt migration, aiming to restore Andhra Pradesh's status as an attractive destination for investors and industries.
