Chandrababu Naidu Thanks PM Modi for Support on Polavaram and Amaravati, Hails Railway Investments
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had a productive meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi, expressing his gratitude for the Centre’s ongoing support for key state projects.
In a social media post, Naidu thanked the Prime Minister for the Cabinet’s approval of the revised cost estimates for the Polavaram Project, a critical infrastructure initiative in the state, and for backing the development of Andhra Pradesh's capital, Amaravati. "Had a fruitful meeting with the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri. @narendramodi ji today. I thanked him for the Cabinet approval of revised cost estimates of the Polavaram Project and apprised him of developments in Andhra Pradesh," Naidu shared.
He also appreciated Modi's reassurance that the Central Government will continue to support Andhra Pradesh in addressing the fiscal challenges the state is facing. "I am thankful for his overall support and reassurance on the Central Government’s hand-holding in matters related to fiscal stress, and appreciate his backing for the Capital City of Amaravati," Naidu added.
Additionally, Naidu met with Union Minister of Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw to discuss the long-awaited establishment of a Railway Zone in Visakhapatnam, which had been a pending assurance. The CM expressed his gratitude for Vaishnaw’s efforts to move forward on this important project and noted that the Railways is investing a substantial Rs 73,743 crore in various infrastructure projects across Andhra Pradesh, marking a significant boost for the state's connectivity and development.
