Chandrababu and Pawan Kalyan to Discuss Election Concerns with Election Commission
Chandrababu Naidu, the leader of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), and Pawan Kalyan, the chief of Jana Sena Party, are set to meet today to address various critical issues pertaining to the upcoming elections in Andhra Pradesh. The leaders aim to tackle issues such as alleged illegal removal of voters from electoral lists, the inclusion of fake votes, the appointment of secretariat staff as booth-level officers, and concerns about the Chief Electoral Officer's (CEO) alleged dismissal of opposition complaints.
In their discussions, the two leaders will also strategize on ensuring transparent and fair conduct of the elections. Following their meeting, they plan to meet with Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Rajiv Kumar and other Election Commissioners in Vijayawada.
During their meeting with the EC, Naidu and Pawan Kalyan intend to express their apprehensions regarding irregularities in the voter list preparation in Andhra Pradesh. They will urge the EC to promptly address these issues and eagerly await the EC's response to the YSRCP's complaints about fake votes in the state.
Both the TDP and Jana Sena parties have already registered complaints regarding the alleged removal of their supporters' votes. The Election Commission has responded to the TDP's complaint by indicating that the issues raised are being resolved in a specific order, with additional complaints also under scrutiny and resolution by the Election Commission.
