Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu Outlines Vision for ‘Viksit Andhra Pradesh-2047
On July 19, at the Secretariat, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu shared his ambitious vision for the state’s development with NITI Aayog CEO B.V.R. Subrahmanyam. Themed ‘Viksit Andhra Pradesh-2047’, the plan aims to contribute significantly to India’s emergence as a global force.
Mr. Naidu emphasized a target growth rate of 15% and doubling the per capita income. Key focuses include poverty eradication and the adoption of cutting-edge technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI). He proposed the development of Amaravati and Visakhapatnam as future AI hubs, along with plans to establish an AI University in the state.
Highlighting agricultural revival and natural farming, Mr. Naidu noted the potential for food processing industries in the Rayalaseema region. He stressed the importance of developing the power sector and integrating skill development into school and college curricula to harness demographic dividends.
The Chief Minister called for policies that foster wealth creation and underscored the importance of leveraging the expertise of reputed institutions like IIMs, IITs, and the Indian School of Business (ISB). He emphasized that development benefits should reach the most underprivileged communities.
Ministers N. Lokesh (IT) and Payyavula Keshav (Finance), Chief Secretary Neerabh Kumar Prasad, and other senior officials were present at the meeting.
