Congress President Hails women for their Crucial Role in Lok Sabha Polls
Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Sunday hailed women for assuming a key job in the general elections and said the voices of "mothers and sisters" must be heard.
His comments came as polling started for the last phase of the polls in 59 seats to choose the destiny of 918 competitors including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is looking to hold the Varanasi situate in Uttar Pradesh.
"Today is the seventh and last phase of polling. Our mothers and sisters have assumed a key job in these elections, as hopefuls, yet in addition as submitted voters whose voices must be heard. I salute them all," Mr. Gandhi said.
Prior, Congress chief representative RandeepSurjewala tweeted: "Do vote in the last phase of the general elections to make the nation liberal and dynamic."
"One vote will make the eventual fate of the adolescent enabled. One vote will take the farmers towards an advance waiver. One vote will take little dealers towards benefit. One vote will get the denied 'Nyay' (justice)," he said.
