Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan Concludes 11-Day Deeksha with Prayers at Tirumala
Deputy Chief Minister K Pawan Kalyan wrapped up his 11-day ‘Prayaschitta Deeksha’ with a visit to the sacred Tirumala temple on Wednesday. He trekked from Alipiri to the hill shrine, accompanied by his daughters Aadya Konidela and Polena Anjana Konidela, for a special darshan of Lord Venkateswara.
Upon arrival, Pawan Kalyan offered prayers and placed the Varahi Declaration at the deity’s feet, marking a significant moment of devotion. Due to the large crowd of pilgrims, his prayer session was brief. Following the darshan, he received blessings from Vedic scholars at Sri Ranganayakula Mandapam, where he was presented with prasadam and a portrait of Lord Venkateswara.
Afterward, he spoke with the media, sharing copies of the Varahi Declaration. He also visited the Matrushri Tharigonda Vengamamba Annadanam Centre, where he participated in the distribution of prasadam alongside other devotees.
In another noteworthy event, Pawan Kalyan completed the declaration formalities for his younger daughter, Polena Anjana. As a minor, Pawan signed the document on her behalf, in line with the temple’s customs. His family, which follows Christian traditions, continues to honor these age-old practices. His wife, Anna Lezhneva, is a Christian.
The visit was attended by key political figures, including MLC P Hariprasad and Tirupati MLA Arani Srinivasaulu.
