Devendra Fadnavis Sworn In As New Cm Of Maharashtra : Ajit Pawar His Deputy Cm

Devendra Fadnavis from Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), on Saturday takes oath as the new Chief Minister of Maharashtra state with Ajit Pawar, leader of NCP as the deputy CM.
BJP and a faction of NCP agreed to form the government in Maharashtra. With BJP acquiring 105 seats while NCP holding only 54, there was no confirmation at all for the NCP to split, whereas it was Sharad Pawar's nephew Ajit Pawar who announced yesterday that the government would lead under Shiv Sena chief Uddah Thackeray. However, with Fadnavis holding CM position and Ajit Pawar with deputy CM, the logjam has been met.
Results to assembly seats were declared almost a month ago on October 24. President's Rule was imposed two weeks after the results were announced. But unexpectedly, the decision in favor of Fadnavis to take the seat for CM was taken after a few hours when the trio of Shiv Sena-NCP-BJP came to an accord for Uddhav Thackeray to lead the government.
It is for the second time Devendra Fadnavis is sworn in as the CM of Maharashtra state. It was in July 1978 when he held the seat for Maharashtra CM for the first time becoming the youngest CM of Maharashtra state.
