EC Verify VVPATs – Chandrababu Naidu

The fifth Phase of Lok Sabha is going on and with only two phases left from the seven phases, all the eyes are already on 23^rd May the result day. All the parties are taking all the care needed to win, be it the voting from the public or even counting of votes.

The VVPAT is intended as an independent verification system for voting machines which is designed to allow voters to verify that their vote was cast correctly. When the button is presses of a certain party, the same vote should be cast, however, according to Chandrababu Naidu, the VVPATs slips should also be counted along with the electronic voting machines.

Along with Chandrababu Naidu, there are 21 parties which have controversies and have asked the Supreme Court to pass the orders of verifying VVPATs.

As the ending of phases of elections is coming nearer, the parties are all keen on knowing their fate.
