Ensuring Fairness: Krishna District's Rigorous Election Preparations
Krishna District Collector, P. Rajababu, left no stone unturned in assuring the public of the district's unwavering commitment to conducting transparent and impartial elections during a recent press briefing in Machilipatnam. With the election schedule now announced, Rajababu underscored the district administration's dedication to upholding democratic principles and ensuring that every voter's voice is heard loud and clear.
Detailing the electoral landscape, the Collector revealed that the district is equipped with 1,763 polling centers strategically distributed across 1,010 areas spanning all seven Assembly constituencies. These centers are not only accessible but also furnished with various amenities aimed at facilitating a seamless voting experience for all eligible citizens.
In shedding light on voter demographics, Rajababu disclosed that Krishna District boasts a diverse electorate, comprising 1,518,255 registered voters. Among them, 737,394 are male, 780,796 are female, and 20,163 are individuals with disabilities, reflecting the district's commitment to inclusivity and accessibility.
Moreover, the Collector emphasized the district's proactive measures, including the provision of home voting services for citizens aged 85 and above, as well as those with disabilities, ensuring that every eligible voter has the opportunity to participate in the electoral process.
