Famous Indian Cricketer Retires From All Forms Of Indian Cricket
On Wednesday, India's T20 World Cup winner Robin Uthappa announced his retirement from all forms of cricket. Uthappa his Debut in National cricket in the year 2006. He played a key part in the Men in Blue winning the inaugural edition of the T20 World Cup in South Africa in 2007.
Robin became a popular name when he helped Indian Cricket team to win the bowl-out against Pakistan in what was the very first meeting between the rivals in the T20Is. In the final, though Uthappa did not contribute much with the bat, he inflicted a runout and took a catch.
Robin Uthappa scored 113 runs in 6 innings and was India's 4th leading run-scorer in the tournament after Gautam Gambhir, MS Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh, and Virender Sehwag.
"It has been my greatest honour to represent my country and my state, Karnataka. However, all good things must come to an end, and with a grateful heart, I have decided to retire from all forms of Indian cricket," Uthappa wrote on Twitter.
