Former CM Continues Support for Telangana Martyr's Family
President of BRS and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has once again demonstrated his commitment to supporting the family of late police constable P Kishtaiah, who sacrificed his life for the cause of Telangana statehood.
During a meeting at his residence on Telangana State Formation Day, KCR handed over a cheque of Rs 25 lakh to Kishtaiah’s daughter, Dr. Priyanka, to aid her in completing her postgraduation in medical education. Alongside Kishtaiah's wife Padmavathi and their children, Dr. Priyanka and Rahul, KCR reiterated his unwavering support for the family.
Reflecting on Kishtaiah's sacrifice and the family's journey, KCR praised Padmavathi's resilience in raising her children despite the challenges. He assured them of his continued support, emphasizing their well-being as his priority.
KCR also urged the current Congress-led State government to maintain the same level of support for families of martyrs as the previous BRS government had done. Since Kishtaiah's tragic demise in 2009, KCR has been a pillar of support for the family, ensuring financial assistance for the children's education over the years.
Grateful for KCR's consistent support, Padmavathi expressed her appreciation, highlighting KCR's role as a father figure in their lives since her husband's passing 15 years ago. She recalled KCR's initial assistance when seeking help for her children's education, describing how he had cared for them like his own family since they were in the sixth grade.
