Former MLA M Sugunamma Praises CM Chandrababu Naidu's Political Achievements and Dedication
Former MLA and TDP Tirupati constituency in-charge M Sugunamma reflected on the remarkable political career and contributions of party chief and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu during a media interaction at the Tirupati Press Club on Sunday. She highlighted Naidu's extraordinary journey, noting how he first became an MLA at the young age of 28, a Minister at 30, and assumed the role of Chief Minister for the first time at 45.
Sugunamma recalled that Naidu first took office as Chief Minister on September 1, 1995. Over the past 30 years, he has served four terms as Chief Minister, establishing an unparalleled record that underscores his resilience, leadership, and unwavering commitment to public service.
She emphasized the pivotal role the TDP has played under Naidu's leadership in promoting women's empowerment through various initiatives. Notable programs like the Development of Women and Children in Rural Areas (DWCRA) groups, Cheyuta, and Pasupu Kunkuma were highlighted as key efforts aimed at uplifting women. Additional schemes such as ‘She Autos,’ Talli Bidda Express, Badiki Vastha bicycles, Chandranna Pelli Kanuka, Dulhan, and widow pensions were also recognized for their significant impact on improving the lives of women across the state.
Sugunamma further lauded Naidu's efforts to drive employment and economic development in Andhra Pradesh, particularly in the aftermath of the state's bifurcation. She pointed to the creation of IT jobs and the establishment of IT parks in Visakhapatnam as some of the significant achievements under Naidu's administration.
The event saw the participation of several party leaders, including Sura Sudhakar Reddy, Ramana, B G Krishna Yadav, Manyam Srinivasulu, Vutla Surendra Naidu, Amudala Tulsi, Munishekhar Royal, R P Srinivasulu, Subrahmanyam, and Muniramayya, among others. They joined in recognizing and celebrating the accomplishments of Chief Minister Naidu and his enduring legacy in Andhra Pradesh.
