Gadkari Shows Immense Confidence on The Upcoming Elections
Union minister for road transport and highways Nitin Gadkari returned to Delhi on Tuesday after playing a role in installing a new government in Goa. He spoke on key issues regarding the Lok Sabha elections and expressed confidence that BJP is well ahead of its rivals.
He termed that, What we have done in the past five years, is more than what was done in 50. We got more than 100 airports; railways have added or completed broad gauge work of 12000 Km; we have built or expanded 40000 km of national highways and another 40000 km are being developed. Just around Delhi, the government is spending more than Rs 50000 crore for road development.
The total investment in highways and shipping sector is about Rs 16 lakh crore and another Rs 1 lakh crore is being invested in water resources and Ganga rejuvenation, says Gadkari.
Further speaking about the opposition alliances, Gadkari said, they have come together because we have become stronger. Its an indication of our strength. There is no common ground for the so-called allies when they have simply come together against one person. This time we will fo better. Our tally will improve in Bengal and northeast. I strongly feel that we will retain our seats in Bihar, UP, MP, and Rajasthan. We may have some success in Andhra and Telangana.
