Godse Was the First Free Indias Terrorist: Kamal Hassan
MakkalNeedhiMaiyam (MNM) founder Kamal Hassan has stirred a conceivable discussion, saying free India's first "terrorist was a Hindu," alluding to Nathuram Godse who executed Mahatma Gandhi.
Tending to election campaign here the previous evening, the on-screen hero-politician said he was one of those "pleased Indians" who want an India with uniformity and where the "three hues" in the tricolor, an undeniable reference to various religions, "stayed unblemished."
"I am not saying this since this is a Muslim-overwhelmed zone, however, I am stating this before a statue of Gandhi. Free India's first terrorist was a Hindu, his name is Nathuram Godse. There it [terrorism, apparently] begins," he said.
Mr. Hassan said he had come here "looking for answers for that murder," alluding to Gandhi's death in 1948.
"Great Indians want for fairness and need the three hues in the tricolor to stay flawless. I am a decent Indian, will gladly announce that" he included.
Prior as well, Mr. Hassan had fed a column, when in November 2017, he attacked what he named as "Hindu fanaticism," which drew judgment from the BJP and Hindu outfits.
