Good News to H1 B Visa Holders!

Here is the good news for the US immigrants of India! It is known that US President Trump’s government declared that spouses of the H1B visa holders cannot work in the US. Now, in a sigh of relief, the court has ordered a temporary stay on the orders passed by Trump. UN Court of Appeals Columbia Circuits has ordered its lower court to check into the issue. It asked the lower court to give the opportunity to the district court to thoroughly assess and determine the merits in the first instance.

"We reverse the district court's grant of summary judgment and remand for further proceedings consistent with this opinion accordingly," the federal court said in its order on the lawsuit filed by Saves Jobs USA. "Ameliorate certain disincentives that currently lead H-1B nonimmigrants to abandon efforts to remain in the US while seeking (lawful permanent resident) status, thereby, minimizing disruptions to US businesses employing such workers", the court said.

The government has said that H-1B nonimmigrants and their families often face problems due to the delay in obtaining permanent residence and faces severe hardships in professional and personal lives. So, for now, H4 visa holders are allowed to work legally in the US while waiting for their green card to be approved which is a great relief to them. So, it is not that easy for Trump to abolish the rule introduced by former US president Barack Obama years back!
