Governor, CM, Naidu Light Candles To Express Solidarity

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Sunday, called the citizens of India to light a ‘diya’ in a fight against coronavirus and it received an overwhelming response by the Indians all over the nation.
People across the country put off their lights to light diyas, candles and flash mobile lights to show solidarity with all those who are at the forefront of the ‘war’ against the deadly infection which has killed thousands and affected lakhs across the world.
Andhra Pradesh chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy also expressed solidarity towards Modi’s call to light the candle. He was also joined by the Governor of state Biswabhushan Harichandan and opposition leader N Chandrababu Naidu.
Governor could be seen holding a candle at Raj Bhavan in Vijayawada, while the chief minister participated in the event from his camp office at Tadepalli in Guntur district and the TDP supremo in Hyderabad joined in this unity event.
Following their leader, the citizens of Andhra Pradesh stood on their balconies, and even came outside of their homes to light candles, diyas and turned on cellphone lights irrespective of their religion.
