I will Return Padma Bhushan: Anna Hazare
Social activist Anna Hazare warned Modi government that he will return his 'Padma Bhushan' if Centre didn’t fulfil the promises they made regarding Lokpal and Lokayuktas and resolution of farmers' issue.
He demanded the immediate appointment of anti-corruption ombudsmen Lokpal at the Centre and Lokayuktas in states.
Also, he demanded the implementation of Swaminathan Commission's recommendations for handling agrarian distress and electoral reforms.
Mr Hazare has been on a hunger strike since last Wednesday at his native Ralegan Siddhi village and lost 3.8 kg in these five days.
Doctors said his blood pressure, blood sugar, and creatinine level in the urine had gone up.
Nearly 5000 farmers are going to support Anna Hazare by protecting outside the Ahmednagar collector's office on Monday.
Anna Hazare was awarded the third-highest civilian honour of the country in 1992. Earlier, in 2011, he did a hunger strike for the same cause, to make a bill on anti-corruption law.
