IT Minister N Lokesh conducted the 50th Praja Darbar at his residence in Undavalli on Friday, addressing a wide array of public grievances.
Families from Madanapalle raised concerns about the alleged encroachment of lands worth ₹200 crore, reportedly orchestrated by former minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy using forged documents. They also described the harassment they faced. Lokesh assured them of swift action to resolve the matter.
Residents of Gangavalli in Vatsavai Mandal, NTR District, sought the creation of a separate panchayat, citing a lack of basic amenities and stalled development in their village despite its proximity to the Munneru River. Lokesh promised to look into their request.
The Andhra Pradesh Tipper Owners Association highlighted the exploitation by middlemen and the impact of unauthorized mining on their livelihoods. The minister vowed to address their concerns. Similarly, the Andhra Pradesh Polytechnic Workshop Attendants Association urged the revival of the stalled regularization process for 117 staff members and sought solutions for their long-pending salary issues. Lokesh assured them of a review of the matter.
Villagers from Gattugudem in Eluru district called for the reconstruction of the Mandal Parishad Primary School building, which is in a dilapidated state. Lokesh pledged to expedite the reconstruction efforts.
In a heart-wrenching plea, K. Dasu from Prakasam district requested employment for his daughter, who lost her eyesight due to COVID-19 and dengue. Lokesh promised to secure a suitable job placement for her.
Meanwhile, Ch. Srinivasa Rao from Kondapalli expressed gratitude to Lokesh for facilitating the re-enrollment of his daughter’s name in the NTR Vaidya Seva card, enabling her to receive medical treatment for a nose infection.
The Praja Darbar underscored Lokesh's commitment to resolving public issues and delivering tangible outcomes for citizens.
