India Thwarts Midnight Attack by Pakistan, Responds with Precision Strikes

In a dramatic escalation late Thursday night, India successfully repelled a large-scale offensive launched by Pakistan across multiple fronts, including Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan, and Punjab. The coordinated attack involved missiles, suicide drones, and fighter jets targeting strategic Indian military installations such as the Jammu airport.
According to defense officials, Indian forces reacted within minutes, intercepting the multi-pronged assault in just 35 minutes. Advanced air defense systems neutralized several incoming threats, while blackout protocols were swiftly implemented in key cities including Amritsar, Bikaner, Jalandhar, and Srinagar to safeguard civilians.
In the ensuing confrontation, six Pakistani fighter jets—including one F-16—were reportedly shot down, and one pilot was captured by Indian forces. Near Jammu University, suspected suicide drones were intercepted, with residents reporting loud explosions during the operation.
India’s counteroffensive was swift and effective. Precision strikes reportedly crippled Pakistani air defense installations in Sargodha and Faisalabad. Loud explosions were also reported in Lahore, Karachi, and Sialkot, leading to widespread panic and disruptions to air traffic in the region.
The Indian Ministry of Defense confirmed that no casualties occurred on the Indian side, reaffirming the nation’s high level of preparedness and capability to counter hostile threats.
This failed attack follows heightened tensions between the two nations after a recent terror strike in Pahalgam, which killed 26 civilians. India has since launched "Operation Sindoor," targeting terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
The failed midnight assault underscores Pakistan's aggressive posture and India’s robust defense capabilities. As tensions remain high, India has made it clear that while it seeks peace, any provocation will be met with decisive force.
