India desperately needs to adopt Mahatma Gandhi's values, claims KCR

K Chandrashekar Rao, the CM of Telangana, stated on Monday that India urgently needs to return to the principles of Mahatma Gandhi, who believed that his religion is the welfare of all sections of people regardless of caste or religion. The statement was delivered by CM KCR as he paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on January 30 (Martyrs' Day), the anniversary of his passing.

The Chief Minister declared that Mahatma Gandhi, who gave his life to uphold national integrity and unity, will forever serve as a compass for the nation's advancement. He said that everyone should take inspiration from Gandhi's life to reach the shores of success by conquering challenges encountered along the way to accomplishing the objective. The Chief Minister was quite clear that we will carry out Gandhiji's wishes.

K T Rama Rao, state minister and working president of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), also paid tribute to the Mahatma. In a tweet, he noted that "terrorism first surfaced in independent India as Godse on this day, 75 years ago. On the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi's 75th death anniversary, he said, "let us remember ourselves that the highest respect we can give to Bapu is implementing his values of peace and communal harmony.
