India's Influencer Marketing will cross $3.5 billion by 2028
According to a survey issued on Wednesday, India has an estimated 4 million social media influencers, and the country's influencer marketing business is expected to be worth $2.8 to $3.5 billion by 2028 as more brands use influencers' reputation to market their goods.
Redseer Strategy Consultants surveyed that there are around 4 million influencers, who have more than 10 thousand followers, in the Indian influencer marketing ecosystem.
One of the biggest challenges in influencer marketing, according to Mukesh Kumar, associate partner at Redseer, is the capacity to efficiently evaluate influencer engagement metrics and connect influencers with the unique marketing demands of brands.
Also, on the other hand, influencers often have trouble getting attractive offers and price transparency. The emergence of new models, including creator marketplaces, shows a strong promise for overcoming these challenges, he added.
Digital advertising expenditures will expand steadily to $21 billion by the year 2028 as influencers' participation on various internet platforms rises. In the Mid-tier, Micro, and Nano categories, the majority of these influencers begin as amateurs and aspiring influencers.
As UGC creates 2 times more engagement than PGC, influencers are starting to take the spotlight in digital advertising. The report stated that these new generation celebrities have a direct connection with their fans, and this connection is their prime tool for advertising.
