Inquiry Launched into Hidden Camera Scandal at Gudlavalleru Engineering College; CM Naidu Expresses Concern Over Police Misconduct
A thorough investigation has been initiated following the discovery of hidden cameras at Gudlavalleru Engineering College, with Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu actively monitoring the situation. The Chief Minister has been in constant communication with district officials, including the Superintendent of Police (SP) and the District Collector, to ensure the inquiry progresses swiftly and efficiently. SP has appointed Circle Inspector Ramanamma to lead the investigation, supported by additional women police officers and security personnel from various locations to bolster security at the college.
In a separate and concerning incident, a video surfaced showing Sub-Inspector (SI) Sirisha from Koduru behaving inappropriately with students during her security duties. Chief Minister Naidu expressed strong disapproval of the officer's actions, stressing that such misconduct, especially towards already distressed students, is intolerable.
Officials clarified that SI Sirisha was not part of the official investigation team but was assigned to assist with security arrangements. Following the incident, she has been removed from her security duties in the area. Authorities have stated that further disciplinary action will be considered after a formal explanation is received from SI Sirisha regarding her behavior.
The Chief Minister has urged officials to show greater empathy towards the students’ concerns and to provide the necessary support during this difficult time.
