Iran Embassy Shares Bank Account Details in India for Donations to War-Affected Citizens
The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in New Delhi has issued bank account details for people in India who wish to provide humanitarian assistance to Iranians affected by the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. The appeal was made through the embassy’s official social media account, where it said many individuals in India had reached out asking how they could help civilians impacted by the war.
Responding to these requests, the embassy shared official banking details through which donations can be sent. According to the embassy, the funds will be used to support people in Iran who have suffered during the escalating military conflict.
The details provided by the embassy include the account name “Embassy of Iran,” account number 11084232535, and IFSC code SBIN0000691. Donors have also been asked to send a screenshot or payment receipt of the transaction via WhatsApp to the number +91 98998 12318 so that the embassy can acknowledge the contributions.
The humanitarian appeal comes against the backdrop of rapidly intensifying hostilities in the region. The current phase of the crisis escalated sharply on February 28, 2026, after surprise airstrikes carried out by Israel and the United States targeted multiple locations across Iran. According to reports circulating during the conflict, the strikes killed several senior Iranian officials and caused significant damage to key facilities.
Iran responded by launching hundreds of drones and ballistic missiles aimed at Israeli territory and US military bases across the Middle East. Several American installations in countries such as Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates were reportedly targeted.
The wider confrontation has roots in tensions that have been building since 2023. Missile exchanges between Iran and Israel intensified in 2024, followed by the brief but intense Twelve-Day War in June 2025. Despite attempts at diplomatic engagement earlier this year, the situation deteriorated rapidly, leading to large-scale military actions and heavy civilian suffering.
With infrastructure damage and humanitarian concerns rising, the Iranian embassy’s appeal reflects growing international concern over the impact of the conflict on ordinary citizens.
