Is Polavaram Irrigation A Burden For Jagan?

Andhra Pradesh designates Chief Minister and YSR Congress Chief Jagan Mohan Reddy might get away from the Polavaram Irrigation Project on the Godavari, which is declared as a national project.

The Andhra Pradesh re-organization act states that the national project of Polavaram should be the responsibility of the center to fund it and complete it. The center had agreed to provide 100 percent funding to the project under a special category.

During the rule of TDP, under pressure of CM and Party President Naidu, the project was handed to state in order to complete the project. There were some claims on the Naidu party, had taken this project and raised the price of the same and also that there were some inducements from the contractor to the party president.

Now that YSR congress Jagan clearly stated that it was the responsibility of the Center to look after that project, and if the cost is raised the center has to bear it. If there were any irregularities in the project, again the tenders will be drawn.

The main subject is of completion of project in time.
