Jagan Extends Support To NDA Presidential Candidate

The YSRCP officially declared its support for NDA candidate Draupadi Murmu in the presidential election. YSRCP welcomed the move to field a tribal woman as a presidential candidate for the 1st time in the history of India.
YSRCP made the announcement just hours before filing Draupadi Murmu's nomination for the presidential election. However, CM Jagan's attend the Draupadi Murmu nomination function in Delhi has been canceled amid a cabinet meeting.
Vijayasai Reddy, YSRCP parliamentary party leader and Mithun Reddy, Lok Sabha leader will attend the nomination ceremony. In spite of the propaganda that the YSRCP would support the opposition candidate in light of the current political developments, YSRCP did not take that decision. CM Jagan has shocked the opposition.
Odisha's Biju Janata Dal has also announced its support for NDA candidature and the strength of the BJP candidate increased with the announcement of YSRCP.
Before NDA announced the Presidential candidate, former BJP leader Yashwant Sinha was finalized as the joint candidate of the opposition. Mamata Banerjee has also written a letter to the YSRCP chief asking him to attend a meeting of the opposition led by NCP chief Sharad Pawar and Trinamool Congress to select the presidential candidate. But he choose to stand away from this meeting.
