Jagan Takes Legal Action Against Sharmila
The strained relationship between former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and his sister, YS Sharmila, has now turned into a legal battle. Jagan and his wife, YS Bharati, have filed a petition in the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) against Sharmila and their mother, YS Vijayamma, over a dispute involving the allocation of shares in Saraswati Power and Industries Private Limited.
According to Jagan, he and Bharati were instrumental in the company's growth and had agreed to allocate shares to Sharmila through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in 2019. However, this share allocation was never finalized, leading to the current legal action. Now, with Sharmila opposing them, Jagan and Bharati seek to withhold the shares initially promised to her.
