Jagan To Visit Polavaram Project On 27th February

The work at the Polavaram Project site is underway with around 5000 workers working day and night at a brisk pace under the guidance of professionals and engineers.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is all set to pay a visit to this prestigious project on 27th February. The main purpose of Jagan visiting the place is to review and discuss several other things for future.
The deadline estimated for the completion of the project is by June 2020. One of the main motive behind his visit is to guide the officials and workers on how should the Godavari water be stopped to get drained and could be available to the farmers to get more irrigation water in the shortest possible time.
Mr. A. Sathish Babu, General Manager, MEIL said, “Project work has now reached a critical stage as it is intended to complete the work related to the main reservoir including the Spillway and if all goes on well as the plan, we would be able to complete the targeted work by June 2021.”
