Jharkhand Governor CP Radhakrishnan Assumes Role of Telangana Governor
Following the resignation of former Telangana Governor, Tamilisai Soundararajan, Jharkhand Governor CP Radhakrishnan has been sworn in as her successor. The oath-taking ceremony was officiated by the Chief Justice of Telangana High Court, Droupadi Murmu, with the President of India's consent.
Per the orders issued by Droupadi Murmu, Radhakrishnan will discharge the duties of Telangana Governor until a new appointment is made. Hailing from Tamil Nadu, Radhakrishnan will concurrently fulfill the responsibilities of Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry.
A seasoned figure in the BJP, Radhakrishnan previously served as the party's chief in Tamil Nadu and represented Coimbatore as a BJP MP in 1998-99. His recent appointment signals a significant shift in Telangana's gubernatorial landscape, coinciding with his efforts to strengthen the BJP's presence in his home state.
