KCR Eyes A National Role!

Despite the BJP's attempts to corner him, Telangana's CM K. Chandrashekhar Rao is looking for a national role.
He attacked the BJP and Modi for their divisive politics, wrong policies, and deliberate attempt to destroy the spirit of federalism without mincing words.
In what is seen as a repeat of Modi’s old slogan of ‘Congress-mukt Bharat’, KCR has now come out with the slogan ‘BJP-mukt Bharat’.
In a letter to PM last month, KCR alleged that because of lack of planning and lack of cooperative federalism, the nation is passing through a most difficult phase with unprecedented problems of falling rupee values, skyrocketing prices, high inflation, and increasing unemployment coupled with low economic growth.
Through his visits to different parts of the country, KCR is testing the waters. Punjab, Bihar, and Jharkhand were among the states he visited.
It is key to KCR's national agenda that farmers face problems, and he is pointing out Telangana's success in transformative agriculture by implementing Kaleshwaram irrigation project, billed as the world's largest lift irrigation project, which provides 24 hours of free electricity to farmers and Rs 10,000 per acre in investment support.
A non-BJP government at the Centre can provide free electricity to farmers across the country if KCR is elected in what is seen as an aggressive push of this agenda. He also recently hosted a meeting of farmer leaders of 26 states.
KCR’s son K.T. Rama Rao often emphasizes Telangana’s significant contribution to the national economy.
